Pfrsantos little corner of complaints

Those are the goals.
(...)
I am also trying to clean the code and organize the changes so that when we have issues with something five years from now, we will be able to find things quickly and easily.
(...)
This is important. We used to say that coders don't comment (if it was hard to code, it should be hard to read). Not anymore. Place notes about everything important and other places it's related to, that's a huge help when/if you need to change anything.
p.s.: the new quoting method is not very user friendly, needing a > in every line. The very slight shadowy background awlso doesn't make the quoted message stand out as much as it might/should/could...
Auto tagging the previous post is still happening as well which is slightly annoying.

I've seen we still have post count under our avatars. Will there be groups/ranks, as in the old forum?
If so, will there be "hidden" sub-forums/threads, available only after a ertain post count?
Will there be sub-forums (Victorinox, Leatherman, Fixed blades, etc.)? If so, will they be mod created or can anyone create them? Rather the previous than the latter.

My #2 post (#3 in this thread) appears to have been deleted (no options available to quote/reply) but I can still see it.
Do you see it too? Is this supposed to be like this or should it have been completely deleted?
Can we delete posts or only mods can (like in the old forum)?

In our profile, when viewing the posts, maybe just show the thread link instead of the entire post?
I've got a dozen posts and it takes up awlmost two screens.

I miss an always visible quick menu bar to take me back to the main page and to access the main options/menu.
From the Profile, it took me some time to get back to the main page.

Over the posts, you can see "pfrsantos wrote 18 minutes ago". Hovering over the user name gets you a link to the user profile and hovering over the XX minutes ago shows you the date/time.
I think I prefer the old way. It's quicker/easier to know the post original date/time.

Reputation.
I keep getting a message saying I need 3 reputation to post in less than 120 seconds intervals.
How the smurf do I get reputation?! I thought I had reputation! Does it have to be good reputation?! Smurf, I'm not going to ever be able to post in less than 120 seconds intervals.

Hopefully we can get this closer to what we are used to. I'm not a fan either of the user interface so far. I know Def is working hard at getting it closer to what we are used to. Hopefully the software allows it.
I'm also hoping we can get closer to the sunrise color scheme.

I was actually happy (more or less) with these colors. Do we really want to go back to the various shades of grey?

I like the Sunrise theme colors. I was never a fan of the green colors of shelflife and used the older Curve theme for a long time until Sunrise came along. I like the shades of grey myself as it seems easier to read , but don't know if I'm in the minority or not.

When I flip back and forth between here and the forum the difference is quite apparent. This is just my opinion of course. It would be good to get more trusted members over here to chime in with their thoughts.
